So one of the MC's, Evidence, hit me up asking if i'd be interested in these unreleased demos from a producer crew called Cockroach Click that he was part of in the mid 90s. Included are multiple MCs, all produced by the crew and all out of the VA area. None of the joints have been released before. Mid 90s, slow, dirty, jazzy beats on an independent and conscious tip. Typical lost Herring flava for the heads....PEEP IT YO!!!!!

Where did you grow up?
I grew up up-and-down the East Coast I predominantly lived in the 757 or the 7 cities of Hampton Roads, Virginia.
 
 
What are your earliest memories of the culture?
My earliest memories of the culture I would say were about 79 going into the early 80s I remember things like Big Bad Bass , Body Mechanic, Dj Devastator , WRAP, and at that time I wasn't privy to the parties in The Bronx but I did catch tapes that would float around about the culture and hip-hop music this is early.
 
 
Who put you on to the culture?
I was put on to the culture I would say by things like video music box yo MTV raps Fab 5 Freddie,  definitely WRAP, radio station but in those days I would go to Frankies,, And Deejays Records and Tapes, and  in different record stores and shop for records the best I could to learn about hip-hop music
 
 
What was the local hip hop scene like?
In the earlier part of the 90s and the late 80s there really wasn't a music scene in the tidewater 757 area it did begin to formulate later as the 90s came in but I would say that it had hungry emcees and different personalities one of the best examples was a rap group called Verbal Threat.,  they were pretty decent and they were down with Public Enemy and things like that but the real issue I would say with Virginia hip-hop is at that moment they didn't have an identity..
 
 
When did you first start rhyming?
I started rhyming when I was around 11 or 12  I used to jot down rhymes but I was really into listening to pause and break beat tapes to freestyle I honed in on the skills and was inspired and influenced by great mcs of records that I would purchase and then I began to do it with friends and the rest is history.
 
 
How did you meet the other members of the crew?
I met the members of Anti-Epidemic , in this order the first member was ELRaaqib a.k.a. The Achemists Of Wax Terror a.k.a. D Ace.,  he was one of my best friends he and I both took a liking to the hip-hop art form so we began to grow in it after that I had ran into the other members through a rap group named  Yaggfu Front from North Carolina they had an organization called F.L.A..B.Lab.,  and in this organization I began to meet Kevin=EL and other members of B.W.O. (Black World Order) like Eregular and of course E strange.. 
 
 
How come nothing was ever released at the time?
As far as any releases I would say there was quite a bit of stagnation from living in a region in an  area that was not a major metropolitan area at the time there weren't record labels there weren't effective djs at the time that would spin or play our music there weren't all of the music industry circumstances that transpire in cities and again the region was not necessarily known to produce hip-hop.  it was known for fans and for hip-hop artists to come there and perform and get money but it wasn't known that hip-hop music could come out there , from artists since that moment some things have changed.
 
 
How does it feel to be releasing this music all these years later?
It actually feels great and refreshing for music that we've made 30 some odd years ago. where equipment and data and information has been broken down and recidivated and there would have possibly been no way we could've even put any of this out without the advancement of new technology which has graced us to bring forth this type of equity and keep the music sustainable and released. , but its a blessing and a great opportunity.
